How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground You who weakened the nations! For you have said in your heart: I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High. Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, To the lowest depths of the Pit. (Isaiah 14:12-15)
Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them. The Lord said to Satan, From where do you come? Satan answered the Lord and said, From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it. Then the Lord said to Satan, Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil? (Job 1:6-8)
Michael and his angels with the dragon
War broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time. (Revelation 12:6-12)
Please notice that the dragon, which is called satan and the devil did not have this incident until AFTER Jesus died and returned to heaven, as he was conquered because of the BLOOD OF THE LAMB. For the blood to conquered him, Jesus must have had to shed this blood. Many teachers claim this happened before Adam and Eve, but John saw this vision in Revelation, while Jesus was already dead and in heaven. If we pay attention, we would note that in Revelation 1:1-3, John saw theses things before they happened. (things which must shortly take place). Satan was going to heaven regularly to represent earth because earth was his to rule then (Job 1:6-8). If he was cast down to earth beforehand, he could not go presenting himself before God there. He still is the prince of this earth, until thrown down into the bottomless pit in Revelation 20:1-3. Satan sinned deliberately, he has no remorse, and as a result he will die.
In the old Testament he fell from heaven, but in Revelation he was CAST OUT. He came down to earth this time, never to appear in heaven again. He rules here on earth now, but not for long, as Jesus will approach him this time to deliver us from him and all his wickedness forever. Human beings are not our enemy saints; satan is. Too often we blame God for the wickedness around us, when the guilty one is the devil. Hating our fellow humans beings are not going to make satan love us, as he cannot love. We need to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, as His blood conquered satan before, and we all know that the blood that gives us strength, from day-to-day, will NEVER, NEVER, NEVER lose its power. Glory be to God!
The serpent with Eve
Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, Has God indeed said, You shall not eat of every tree of the garden? The woman said to the serpent, We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die. Then the serpent said to the woman, You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil. So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.
The eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings. They heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.
Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, Where are you? So he said, I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself. He said, Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat? Then the man said, The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate. The Lord God said to the woman, What is this you have done? The woman said, The serpent deceived me, and I ate. (Genesis 3:1-13)
Pharaoh with the Egyptians
The Lord said to Moses: See, I have made you as God to Pharaoh, and Aaron your brother shall be your prophet. You shall speak all that I command you. Aaron your brother shall tell Pharaoh to send the children of Israel out of his land. I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and multiply My signs and My wonders in the land of Egypt. Pharaoh will not heed you, so that I may lay My hand on Egypt and bring My armies and My people, the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments. The Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, when I stretch out My hand on Egypt and bring out the children of Israel from among them. Then Moses and Aaron did so; just as the Lord commanded them, so they did. Moses was eighty years old and Aaron eighty-three years old when they spoke to Pharaoh.
Then the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying, When Pharaoh speaks to you, saying, ‘Show a miracle for yourselves,’ then you shall say to Aaron, Take your rod and cast it before Pharaoh, and let it become a serpent. Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh, and they did so, just as the Lord commanded. And Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh and before his servants, and it became a serpent. Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers; so the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments. For every man threw down his rod, and they became serpents. Aaron’s rod swallowed up their rods. Pharaoh’s heart grew hard, and he did not heed them, as the Lord had said.
The Lord said to Moses: Pharaoh’s heart is hard; he refuses to let the people go. Go to Pharaoh in the morning, when he goes out to the water, and you shall stand by the river’s bank to meet him; and the rod which turned to a serpent you shall take in your hand. You shall say to him, The Lord God of the Hebrews has sent me to you, saying, Let My people go, that they may serve Me in the wilderness; but indeed, until now you would not hear! Ananias, with Sapphira
A certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession. He kept back part of the proceeds, his wife also being aware of it, and brought a certain part and laid it at the apostles’ feet. Peter said, Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? While it remained, was it not your own?
After it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God. Then Ananias, hearing these words, fell down and breathed his last. So great fear came upon all those who heard these things. The young men arose and wrapped him up, carried him out, and buried him.
It was about three hours later when his wife came in, not knowing what had happened. Peter answered her, Tell me whether you sold the land for so much? She said, Yes, for so much. Then Peter said to her, “How is it that you have agreed together to test the Spirit of the Lord? Look, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out. Then immediately she fell down at his feet and breathed her last. And the young men came in and found her dead, and carrying her out, buried her by her husband. So great fear came upon all the church and upon all who heard these things. (Acts 5:1-11)
They all knew that they were sinning against God, but they thought what they did was better than God. Satan knows, Eve, Adam, the men of Sodom, Pharaoh, etc., all knew, and today we know. Too often we find excuses for the sin we do, naming it sugar-coating titles, to assume it means something other than the sin that it is. Saints, sin is SIN, and it will never be anything else.
God hate sin, and no one will make Him love it. Let’s take a look at a few of the other sins committed on earth, and we will notice a pattern there. God cannot tolerate SIN. If we continue sinning, God will not spare us. He did not spare the angels when they sinned and he will not spear us, after covering us with His Son’s blood if we too put Him to open shame.
Sin In Ignorance
Abraham journeyed from there to the South, and dwelt between Kadesh and Shur, and stayed in Gerar. Abraham said of Sarah his wife, She is my sister. Abimelech king of Gerar sent and took Sarah. God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, “Indeed you are a dead man because of the woman whom you have taken, for she is a man’s wife. Abimelech had not come near her; and he said, Lord, will You slay a righteous nation also? Did he not say to me, She is my sister’? She, even she herself said, He is my brother.
In the integrity of my heart and innocence of my hands I have done this. God said to him in a dream, Yes, I know that you did this in the integrity of your heart. For I also withheld you from sinning against Me; therefore I did not let you touch her.Restore the man’s wife; for he is a prophet, and he will pray for you and you shall live; But if you do not restore her, know that you shall surely die, you and all who are yours. (Genesis 20:1-7)
Well, in ignorance, God certainly give us time to repent. Many people would not understand this today. Some even asked me why did God allowed satan to cause chaos for so long? God’s answer is: He is giving everyone time to repent, and He has not bought sin in this world or caused us to sin, satan did. He is now giving us time to repent today, so we do not have to join satan and his angels in the lake of fire. It was never prepared for us, but if we choose it, God will give us our heart’s desire, so be careful what you desire for. Jesus was sent to die on earth to rescue us from the devil, and He did a great job. He won the victory, today we can accept His protection from the devil and death forever.
We have no reason to sin, so don’t let the devil fool us, we have a power inside us that helps us not to commit sin that leads to death. The sin that’s easily besets us, we ask forgiveness for them, and we are told go and sin no more, so don’t make a practice of sinning. It’s been a long time we learnt about forgiveness for our sins. God has done His part it’s now up to us to decide which we are going to choose; life or death. He who sins against Me wrongs his own soul. All those who hate Me love death. (Proverbs 8:36) If you do well, will you not be accepted? If you do not do well, sin lies at the door. Its desire is for you, but you should rule over it. (Genesis 4:7) May God grant us strength to endure the wickedness around us today, as satan is very angry that he has no business in heaven anymore, and we do. Watch out for him saints, he is really angry with us, for he knows exactly how lovely heaven is. He lived there before. Now it’s our turn. Keep him out of your business from now on. God bless.
