I heard a loud voice saying in heaven: salvation, strength, the kingdom of our God and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.
They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, by the word of their testimony and they did not love their lives to the death. Rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time. (Revelation 12:12)
The devil is angry with us because he knows his time is short. He will not spare us either, as he know that we belong to God. We have been warned that he is our enemy, therefore take the sword Jesus gave us and use it to fight. Jesus’s blood overcame him and it will always do so.
Some of us may have to lose our lives in this battle, but it will be given back with greater power in the end. Therefore, with boldness I urge us all to take the full amour of God, so we may be able to withstand the pressure of the devil, and having done so, to remain standing (Ephesians 6:10-18).
Some people may not be members of our denomination, but we are all the same; God’s people. They may not do things our way, but they are created in His image and they serve Him. They may not be in our country, but they are persecuted because of their faith in God. We owe it to God to plead to Him on their behalf. The things we take for granted, some can only dream of, so when you talk to God, remember them in your prayers.
How Well Are You Coping Under Pressure?
If you are going through difficult times because you are Christians, you are not alone in the battle. God has made provision for us all and it is our duty, as the body of Christ to do as He says. No one said it was going to be easy, and this is why Jesus send the Comforter, as He understood what we would require to go through it, because He did so beforehand.
Make sure when Jesus comes back He finds you doing whatever He called you to do. He will not forget your contribution and endurance in the kingdom of our Father. There are christians all over the globe going through great tribulation, and this is the fulfilment of what the bible warned us about. As we consider what we will suffer because we are God’s people, let us remember those who are in difficulties now, and pray that God shorten the days for them and us, as He has promised to do so (Matthew 24:22).
Understand Your Enemy
Satan is our enemy, the way he work is by destroying anyone who does not agree with him and his system. God warned us about him, so let’s takes a closer look so we can detect his tricks. He knows the bible better than us, and this is why he is able to twist it.
Don’t think for one minute that he will run as soon as you pick up the bible, as he study it also. How else could he tempt you if he did not know what it says? He knows it so well, he was able to quote it to Jesus. You think he’s scared of you? No, he is not. He is not frightened of the bible at all, nor is he frighten to use it for his gain.
He is trying to make us fight against each other because he knows very well that a kingdom fighting against itself cannot stand (Mark 3:24); so he is trying to destroy us with fights from within. After he causes us to weaken ourselves, he will come and destroy what is left. God wants us to UNITE with each other and have LOVE towards one another, but the devil has a plan to destroy this love. He throws hatred among us instead, causing arguments and getting us in a confused state of mind, where we cannot think properly.
After all, he used the same technic with Eve and Christ. He only began to tempt eve when she was alone with him and Jesus when He saw Him hungry. Eve was not at Adam’s side for support and Jesus had not eaten for forty days, but Satan’s contradiction to Eve was she would not die (Genesis 3:4) and asked Jesus to change stones into bread so he could eat (Matthew 4:3).
Both Jesus and Eve knew what God said, but Jesus reminded satan that God’s word has to be understood and obeyed. This Eve, Adam and many after them did not do, but Jesus did so and rebuked satan. You see, satan always try to make solutions to problems that does not exist, claiming he knows more than God. Be on the alert, you will not escape him if you are a child of God (2 Timothy 3:12).
Despite where you are in this world, you will face the devil at some point and you need to know what to do and say to him when you meet him. “It is written” (Matthew 4:1-11) is a good start, but you will have to know and understand better than him what is written to use it and conquer him, just like Jesus did before us.
Fight To The Death
The bible says that they did not loves their lives to the death. Satan will not give up until death occurs, and he will kill many christians because that’s who he is.
He comes to steal, kill and destroys (John 10:10) as he’s a thief, so make sure you don’t under-estimate his motive. The bible also said that they will OVERCOME the saints (Revelation 13:7), so the fight is to the death, many will not survive after it. Those who survive will have it extremely difficult, but he that endures to the end, whether he be alive or dead, shall be saved (Matthew 10:22). God be praised!
To have a chance, you must be prepared, using the method that overcame him before, which is the blood of the Lamb. You will have to be washed by the Lamb’s blood to overcome him, saturated in God’s word to be able to quote them accurately and when you do, whether you live through the battle or not, you win, because even if you die, like Jesus did, yet shall you live, so you have won the battle dead or alive. (John 11:25).
We Have the Victory
God be praised! If you are covered by the blood of the lamb, you have already won the battle before it began. The result is already known: Satan dies in the lake of fire (Revelation 20:10) and we keep on living (John 11:25). Even when the going gets rough, we stand firm on the word of God. This is the victory we have: LIFE in the Son of God (1 John 5:11).
Glory be to the ONLY I AM! With this in mind, all you have to remember is ‘LOOK UP’, for your redemption draws near (Luke 21:28). May peace the word of God brings, the love of God and His Christ and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you always, both now and forever more, Amen.
