Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness (2 Timothy 2:15-16 KJV).  It is good to study the word of God and be approved by Him, with right intentions. It encourages us to avoid irreverent babble, for it will lead people into more and more ungodliness. I suppose ungodly talk has no place on the mouth of God’s people. Why do we need to study the word of God? If we study it, no one can deceive us with a different teaching. Long ago, the custom of God’s people were very much the same. They learned the laws, obeyed them and taught it to others:  Ezra did so (Ezra 7:10), they came together to study the words of God’s law (Nehemiah 8:13) with great care (Ecclesiastes 12:9). StudyToday, the words we have is to be studied, so we may be fully equipped for every good work. We will not be able to teach others, if we are not learned. We cannot give what we do not have either. God must approve of us before we start teaching anyone. We need to be called and chosen by God to be qualified to teach His people. God knows the heart and according to His will and power, He gives us what it takes to do His work through us. Studying His word and living by its instructions shows that we know it and obey it. It demonstrates that the power of God is at work in us and it’s not by might nor by power, but by the Spirit of God we are able to live a godly life and teach others to do the same; to the glory of God the Father. Continue in the knowledge of God, and Your life will reflect the life of Jesus Christ. Others will see the fruits of God’s Spirit in you and God’s name will be glorified. No one will be able to have a wrong thing to say about you, because you will be approved by God, just like Jesus is. God bless you
