He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways (Psalm 91:11). What is your reason for being online? Is it to glorify God, or to hide there to commit sin? What are you really doing online? Today we see most people online, so I name this one “Be Careful Online”. What exactly are you doing when you are on your phone, iPad, laptop, or your computer, where no human is looking? Can God trust you online? Is He invited there to see what you are doing? Do you think that He is happy with what you do when no one is looking? I will leave you to answer all these question privately, while I urge you to use your online searching to glorify God, because even if you think no one is watching, there is a big eye above you, and He knows and sees everything you do. If He can number the hairs on your head (luke 12:6), don’t you think He sees what you are looking at, and doing? Oops! Yes, you have just been caught looking and doing things that you know you should not be doing as a child of God! What do you do now? Here is the answer: If a wicked person turns away from all his sins that he has committed and keeps all My statutes and does what is just and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die (Ezekiel 18:21).
The payment for sin is death. You know this, but if you continue in it and refuse to repent and acknowledge that you have a problem, you will start blaming it on someone else. Finding an excuse to continue in it, you deceive yourself, and the people around you. You know what it is that you are doing and you know it is wrong. Ask God to help you turn away and run from it. Don’t put yourself in a position where the temptation to sin is what you see all the time, find time with God, talk with Him, tell Him how difficult it is for you, because if you were with Him, telling Him all that, you would not have your eyes where it should not be; you would not have your mind where it should not be, and your thoughts would continue to be pure. Associate with people and friends that will help your situation, not those that make it worse. Make sure your friends are people that will encourage you to do good things, and keep away from anyone who encourages you to sin against God. This will help you focus on pure things, lovely things, and when you think on these things, your thoughts will remain pure, no matter where you go and what you do.
Heavenly things are what you need to focus on, not the worldly things that will only lead you to self-destruct. These things may be very tempting for you, but remember how you got there in the first place. It could be the first look, the first taste, the first touch, or the first step there. Well, taste and see that the Lord is better that it all, reach out and touch the hand of God, look to Him, the author and finisher of your faith; then let Him deliver you away from the things that will destroy you. He will give you a different reason to go online, rather than the self-destruct route. Take the heavenly route, and make sure that every time you go online, it is to the glory of God the Father, not yours. That way, you will not be pulled by the forces of evil, but be drawn to the giver of life. Be a godly online generation, and you will enjoy the time you spend there, by being productive with blessings from above. God bless you, and Be Safe Online.
