Then the Lord said to Moses: “Behold, I am about to rain bread from heaven for you, and the people shall go out and gather a day’s portion every day, that I may test them, whether they will walk in my law or not (Exodus 16:4). Jesus then said to them: “Truly, truly, I say to you, it was not Moses who gave you the bread from heaven, but my Father gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world (John 6:32-33).
The question is: which bread are you feeding on? The veil has been removed over our faces so we can see and feed on the “true bread from heaven”, that is His only begotten Son. Jesus made the difference when He came to earth, this was to establish God’s new covenant, and fulfilling Moses’ laws, because they testified of Him. He gave us the authority to go directly to the Father through Him, therefore we don’t need prophets or mediators to do so anymore.
We are and forever will be feeding on Him and by Him because He is the true bread from heaven and we need to partake of it. If you are feeding on any other bread, then you are feeding on the wrong food. The true bread from heaven should be the one source of your daily bread. God sent us that true bread, and if we are not feeding on this one, then we will starve spiritually. Jesus also came to set up His Kingdom, and the gates of hell will not prevail over it. After His resurrection, Jesus Christ ascended to His Father, and when He returned from there, He proclaimed that All authority is given to Him in heaven and earth. He used this authority to appoint 12 apostles in charge, to continue bringing more disciples into His kingdom. Afterwards He breathed on them saying: receive the Holy Spirit (John 20:19-22).
Then after empowering them to continue where He left, He returned to take His position in heaven, sitting at the right hand of His Father, waiting for His enemies to be made His footstool (Hebrews 10:12-13). Today, the teaching He left is saving many souls into the kingdom, and the gates of hell, will never prevail over it. It is very important that as children of God, we are fed with bread from heaven and not the leavened one alone. Man shall not live on bread alone, but by every word, that comes from the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4). God has made food provision for us, make time to eat it, and live forever. Jesus said if you eat this bread, you will never die (John 6:50-51). Continue feeding on the true bread from heaven, and you will never die, but live forever. God bless you.
