Have you been praying for a long time and getting no result? What is wrong? Can God hear me? Why Has He not said anything to me or answer me? Let’s look at some of the reasons why prayers are not answered and identify where we have gone wrong, before we start blaming God. Your prayers can be hindered if you don’t forgive others for the wrongs they did to you. “Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses” (Mark 11:25). No matter how long you call God, if you continue to disobey Him, He will turn His ears away from you. He will not listen to anything you have to say, until you begin to obey Him. If you do not forgive others, He will not forgive you either. Leave what you are doing, go and make it right with the person who offends you first, then go and talk to God about your needs. For the husbands: ill treating your wives hinders your prayers as well, make sure you are treating her the way God ask you to. “Likewise, husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weaker vessel, since they are heirs with you of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered” (1 Peter 3:7). If you are sinning deliberately, don’t even bother take time to talk to God, thinking He don’t know about it. He will not listen to you. You need to do His will and He will listen to you. “We know that God does not listen to sinners, but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does His will, God listens to him” (John 9:31). Putting God to the test will not benefit anyone either, so stop playing tricks with God. He has no time for foolish games, He is God. Next time you ask God for something, take a few minutes and examine yourself and see if there is anything that hinders your prayer before you say it. God bless you.
