Jesus knew that they wanted to ask Him, so He said to them: Is this what you are asking yourselves, what I meant by saying: A little while and you will not see Me, and again a little while and you will see Me? Truly, truly, I say to you, you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will turn into joy. John 16:19-20. lt happened exactly as Jesus told them. He was only dead for a little while, and they only saw Him a little while after His resurrection as well. The tomb could not hold Him down, He was too powerful for it.
The angel who sat on the stone (Matthew 28:2-4) after Jesus came out is really reassuring. As if to say that the stone was not too heavy for me; piece of cake! It’s interesting how He just sat on the stone while the ones guarding it fell to their faces as if dead, but they had enough courage to lie about it afterwards. After seeing the power, they still chose to lie about what happened? Well, a little while later we too will see Him and woe to those who is not ready when He returns!
It is only a little while longer to go; a day in heaven is like a thousand years, He is not taking a long time at all (2 Peter 3:8). By this calculation, He has only been in heaven for just over 2 days. Keep your courage, He who promised is faithful, He will be a little while longer, wait for Him faithfully. He will not delay, and the days will be shortened for our sakes because if it is not, no humans could survive the horrors we now see, and the ones coming later. Take courage, God is always on time, and If He says He is coming, He will come. God’s word cannot return to Him void, you can depend on it. While you wait, be strong and take heart, you will be better off if you remain faithful to the end. Take comfort in the Holy Spirit because for this reason He was sent to help you. Soon, Jesus will return; He did before, He won’t disappoint you. God bless you as you wait patiently For His Son.
