He cried to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a log, and he threw it into the water, and the water became sweet. There the Lord made for them a statute and a rule, there He tested them, saying: “If you will diligently listen to the voice of the Lord your God, and do that which is right in His eyes, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you that I put on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, your healer” (Exodus 15:25-26).
No matter where you look, death is there. You cannot escape it, the news is full of it, the streets are contaminated by it, and soon there will be no room to bury them. Why is everywhere you look death is the headlines? Why is it so rampant no matter where you go? The answer is sin. Sin is the disease that causes all the deaths we see around us. It is very dangerous and no one except God can put an end to it. Sin, is a contagious disease; it can be transmitted from one person to another and can be fatal if prolonged, or left untreated. It is usually an infectious and very contagious disease, which are transmitted to other people, either by physical contact with the person suffering the disease, or by casual contact with their secretions or objects touched by them or airborne route among other routes. In the present day, most sexually transmitted diseases are considered contagious also, lust, hatred, and many more are exposed to children, but only some of them are subject to medical isolation.
They can also be inherited from parents or caused by environmental or behavioral factors, or by non-casual transfer of bodily fluid: such as transfusions, needle sharing or sexual contact. There is also the danger of severe communicable disease. This is why the bible asks us not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14). We need to understand the dangers and avoid contracting it again and again.
Cause: Originally, it started with disobedience to God, telling lies and continue to teach others to do the same (John 8:44). Satan, is the fist one who contracted it (Hebrews 2:14-15), he infected Eve (Genesis 3:1-7), she passed it to Adam (Genesis 3:4-8), and the whole world has contracted it. It is an epidemic and we all are suffering as a result of it (Romans 5:12-13). After we inherited it from our parents, we need not remain in it. “Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity and in sin did my mother conceive me (Psalm 51:5).
Symptoms: These are just some of the Symptoms associated with sin: Extreme separation from God (Isaiah 59:2), Fear (Genesis 3:10, John 6:20, 1 John 4:18), Darkness (Matthew 6:23, Luke 11:34, John 12:46), Lies (John 8:44, Colossians 3:9, 1 John 1:6), Selfishness (James 3:16), Wickedness (1 Corinthians 6:9-10), Depression (Psalm 143:7-8), Stress and sexual immorality (Romans 13:11-14), Heart pains (Ecclesiastes 11:10), etc,.. and eventually death (1 Corinthians 15:56, Romans 6:23, Hebrews 2:14-15).
Blood Transfusion, Cleansing, Infection control, Medication and Prevention. Jesus blood is the only transfusion the patient suffering with sin disease needs for a complete cure. That is why God ask us not to drink blood or shed it. Blood is important to God and is offered only to Him, no one else. His Son’s blood is the only acceptable cleanser. The infection needs to be kept under control with the constant studying of the word of God and the way to prevent the infection returning is to remain under the blood, continue in the word of God and by applying the medication (power), provided by the Holy Spirit, to lead us away from all forms of infection (evil). God has sent to us the antidote and it is In His Son. If we apply it, we will be cured and live forever. Don’t let sin have dominion over you (Psalm 19:13). Sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace (Romans 6:14).
Result If Not Treated: Warning!!! If left untreated can lead to an eternal death (The Second Death: Revelation 2:11). Sin comes at a cost, but there is hope if you repent; if you don’t, your portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death (Revelation 21:8). Because the wages of sin is death, you will not escape if you do nothing about the disease; you will die. (Romans 6:23).
They overcame by the Blood of the Lamb: Then one of the elders addressed me, saying: “Who are these, clothed in white robes, and from where have they come?” I said to him, “Sir, you know.” And he said to me, “These are the ones coming out of the great tribulation. They have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb (Revelation 7:11-14). Sin has no dominion over you child of God (Genesis 4:7), because He went to great lengths to save you from it all (John 3:16). If you call on Him as Father who judges impartially according to each one’s deeds, conduct yourselves with fear throughout the time of your exile, knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot (1 Peter 1:17-19).
Now wash your robe and make it white in the blood of the Lamb of God. Continue with the Holy Spirit, hear what He has to say to you and remain faithful to the end. You will not be overcome by the second death. God bless you.
