When Jesus finished these sayings, the crowds were astonished at His teaching, for He was teaching them as one who had authority, and not as their scribes (Matthew 7:28-29).
What you are doing, has it got the approval from God? If so, it will continue to grow, but if not, be careful doing anything without approval from God first, you will labour in vain, and it will come to nothing! Many will try to enter the gate when He returns but they will not hear what they thought. Jesus said: “Strive to enter through the narrow door. For many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able. When once the master of the house has risen and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and to knock at the door, saying, ‘Lord, open to us,’ then he will answer you, ‘I do not know where you come from.’ Then you will begin to say: ‘We ate and drank in your presence, and you taught in our streets.’ But He will say, ‘I tell you, I do not know where you come from. Depart from Me, all you workers of evil (Luke 13:20-27).
Be warned that if He did not approve what you are doing now, He will not approve of it later. Also, be careful why you do that you do; let us hope it not to be seen by others, but that God has authorised you to do so. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of God (Hebrews 10:31), so examine yourself, and take heed least you fall. May God be the final authority in everything that we do, think and say. Amen.
