He Came To Save Sinners

Jesus on waterI thank Him who has given me strength, Christ Jesus our Lord, because He judged me faithful, appointing me to His service, though formerly I was a blasphemer, persecutor, and insolent opponent. But I received mercy because I had acted ignorantly in unbelief, and the grace of our Lord overflowed for me with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost. But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life.

To the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen (1 Timothy 1:12-17). If so much can be done for Paul, maybe I may just stand a chance. I feel like Paul felt sometimes; the worst sinner, but because Jesus came to set sinful people like me free, I can now live in the freedom that only He can supply. Grab hold of this freedom and do not let anyone burden you with a heavy yoke. His yoke is easy, and His burden is light, so if for one moment you feel the load you are carrying is somewhat too heavy, bring it to Him, and He will take it away for you, because this is the reason He came. Not to make your burden heavier, but to make it lighter, so you are able to live in freedom. Jesus gave you and I the authority to ask the Father anything in His name, according to His will, because though Jesus’ ransom, we have been made children of God also. Yes, God is your Father, and His Spirit bear witness to it also. You do have a mediator through whom you approach the thrown of grace, go to your room, shut the door behind you, and pray in your heart to God, asking Him anything you need through Jesus Christ, and He will hear you. The same God who hears you in secret, will reward you openly. Mind you, don’t wait until you are too weak to call though. He is always there, so find time to communicate with Him regularly so the evil one may not overcome you.

Make time for Him, because He gave over 30 years of His Son’s life to pay the price for you and me, to give us authority to communicate with Him boldly, but humbly, as a child to their Father. Take this gift seriously and don’t keep Him waiting too long before you spend quality time with Him. God has made the sacrifice to save us, have you anything to say to Him? He is waiting for you to say it, now is your chance. If He did it for Paul and me, He will do so for you too. God grant you the desires of your heart, according to His will. Stay blessed.
