“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. Selah There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns. The nations rage, the kingdoms totter; he utters his voice, the earth melts. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah Come, behold the works of the Lord, how He has brought desolations on the earth. He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; He burns the chariots with fire. “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah” (Psalm 46:1-11).
One may be wondering where is God? This question should not be on your mind if you know who God is, and what He is doing. He is working, and He is looking after His people. He sees everything that is happening around us, but some people are still going about their business, as if there is no God. He has set a time (Psalm 75:1-7) when He will end all this wickedness, and no one will rush Him to move quicker or slower. He is very much in charge, and although He sees it all, He is not willing to see anyone perish (2 Peter 3:9), therefore giving us time to repent (Acts 17:30-31).
When time is up, all will answer to God, and He will reward everyone for what we have done. Do not take matters into your own hands, be still, and let God deal with wickedness, because you are not authorised to do God’s job; vengeance is His, not ours. Leave them alone, even if it seems that they are winning. God is still in control, and He knows better than us, no matter what we see and hear. Be angry, and do not let it causes you to sin. Be still is what God is saying, do so and stand strong with you faith in God, even if you do not understand what He is doing, or don’t feel like doing so. The battle is not yours, God has never loose a battle, and He never will; trust Him on this one also. If you are not sure what to do, pray, and ask God what He wants you to do without doubting His capability; He will hear you. Without FAITH, it is impossible to please Him, this requires you to exercise your faith in God. You will see His power at work, and will rejoice that you did not interfere where He did not want you to. Let them do their evil and see how God will repay them soon. “Let the evildoer still do evil, and the filthy still be filthy, and the righteous still do right, and the holy still be holy. Behold, I am coming soon, bringing My recompense with Me, to repay each one for what he has done” (Revelation 22:11-12). Have faith in God, remember He will repay everyone, good or bad. God bless you.
