Luke 19:9-10  Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham; for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

John 1:45  Philip found Nathanael and said to him, “We have found Him of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, wrote; Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”

Jesus is not lost, we are the ones who are lost if we live in darkness. He does not walk in darkness, but when we live in darkness, we cannot see Him, assuming that he is lost, and we have to go looking for Him. If I cannot find Jesus, I am the one who is lost, and need to turn round and walk toward the light where I will find Him. Philip  knew where Jesus was, went to hear Him speak, and invited another to join Him. Jesus went about teaching and expressing God’s kingdom message, and in so doing, He came seeking the lost sons of Israel. He came to our level to enable us to one day go to His, and since the day He saved me, my life has never been the same.

Everyone that needed Jesus came to Him expressing faith in Him, and He helped them, because of their faith.  On several occasions, He told them: your faith has made you whole. Jesus performed many miracles in His day, and everyone He helped had a measure of faith that enabled Him to have compassion for them. We see that in some instances some had to apologise for their unbelief, and as a result their need was met (Mark 9:24). A woman, even after being called dogs (Mark 7:27-28), would not give up and turn away until her need was met.  With compassion for her humility Jesus granted her request. Those who did not humble themselves and believed Him got nothing.

I once thought that I had to go looking for Jesus, but not anymore, He came looking for me, saved me and now He is right here in my heart. He says ask Him anything I need, and He WILL supply it all (Philippians 4:19). Since He has given me His word, I am certain He is Lord of His word, and will not break His promise or forsake me. Whenever I have a problem and feel overwhelmed by it, I know that through it all, He will supply me with power to overcome. My faith is in God, Jesus is the LORD of my life, and I know that He is always by my side as I journey through this messy world, in this temporary body. Philippians 4:19-20   My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.

I urge you to keep your faith in God, for there’s no other way, to be happy in Jesus, but to trust, and obey. I was once lost and Jesus saved me. He can do the same for you. God bless you.
